PRODUCTION UPDATE
My epic 5-week Summer break didn't exactly go as planned comic-wise, because, against all expectations in this hellish rental market, I actually found a place to live! Yay! So I'm in the process of moving out as we speak.
I've still made the August release window I set for myself though, so all's good. But I haven't been able to work ahead as much as I'd planned.
Will have to get a new drawing routine going once I'm settled in the new place, probably an improved one as I have the weekends off now! (no more traveling to boyfriend because I'll be living with him lol)
Production timeline
Up next on my schedule are the entirety of Chapter 2 | Part 3, and the script for Chapter 3. I'm aiming for a Fall release for Ch2 P3 (but then again Fall lasts til, like, end of December - it would be nice to finish the chapter before the end of November though, or else I will have spent more than a year working on it π€‘).
I'll keep you posted~ And hopefully I can share some previews next month~

It's our man Argento for August!
Argento Gabbana is 26 years old, and runs a business in bioengineered wildlife pets with his friend My. Alongside their pet tiger Joxter and useless robot assistant Domo, My and Argento live a peaceful life in the glorious city of Amsterdam - a peaceful life that totally won't be disrupted by the actions of some blonde chick about 3 chapters from now...
Argento will be the star of the upcoming release, where he will have to face off against a particularly evil cheetah cub.

PRODUCTION UPDATE
I actually got some alright work done this month! Chapter 2 | Part 2 is now 100% drafted, coming in at 13 pages. I've been making progress on the line-art (my least favorite part) and got 3 pages ready to go.
So things are still looking good for an (early?) August release!

Production timeline
Looking ahead, I'm hoping to get Chapter 2 | Part 3 out into the world in the Fall of 2023. I'm planning to finish the script for Chapter 3 over Summer so I can dive straight into that after Chapter 2 is done - you know, to maybe avoid slowing down to zero and having to start back up from scratch 2 months later for a change.
Oh yeah and I got like 3 illustrations planned for Chapter 2 | Part 3, something to do with an 'exposition-through-array-of-photographs'-trope. Should get those done over Summer too. You'll be the first to see!

CHARACTER OF THE MONTH
Ignoring multiple calls for Domo as character of the month by a certain, not to be named individual, I have picked JAN, our favorite shuttle-service-running gal from Troy, as Character of the Month~!
If you're up to date on ARCO, you should have gotten acquainted with Jan in Chapter 2 | Part 1. Jan Nebraska is 29 years old and runs an off-the-radar shuttle service to Troy (Mars) - the one city free of CORNELLO-imposed regulation - among other things.
Jan wasn't supposed to show up until later in the comic, but Angel needed a ride and Jan fit the profile, so why make a brand new character when you've got a perfectly fine one lined up and ready to go!
Jan will be back for a short scene in Chapter 2 | Part 2, but after that we won't be seeing her until some other people find their way to Troy as well... π³

It's been about 2.5 months since Chapter 2 | Part 1 dropped, and, after two full months of slackery and not-feeling-like-it (woops), I have picked up the digital pencil once again and made some serious moves on Chapter 2 | Part 2.

Production timeline
This is my first time drawing ARCO while having a job instead of being in uni, so I don't have as much time to spare.
I will probably have ~3 weeks over Summer to put some extra time towards ARCO, but other than that I'm stuck drawing on my day off, which is usually filled with other stuff as well.
I'm still hopeful to make a Summer release date, but it'll likely end up being somewhere in August. UNLESS I somehow gain the energy to draw diligently in the evenings. But you know how it is~
I have picked CECIL this month, because even though she won't show up physically after Chapter 1 for some time (yes Cecil will be back π), she is basically the Most Important Character of the whole comic. For reasons.
Cecil is the proud transferee of a CORPUS Model 3, and works at CORNELLO's Earth-Moon HQ as Donna's right hand woman.
All is fine and well, until a particular blonde chick performs some particular actions that don't end particularly well for Cecil.
Cecil's character is both the most fundamental thing to ARCO, and the thing that I have changed up the most while plotting out the story and world. I'm quite happy with the result, and I hope you are eager to learn more about Cecil and the weird motherboard-contraption that is not supposed to be inside her stomach. You know, πΌπππ’.
Oh yeah and Cecil will be discussed in Chapter 2 | Part 3, which will give you some more clues regarding her future.

For the sake of my own comic-making enjoyment, I'm moving away from social media for a bit and trying out this newsletter-thing as a replacement. Let's see how it goes!

PRODUCTION UPDATE
It's been about 1.5 months since Chapter 2 | Part 1 dropped, and I must say... I've been slacking ever since. This always happens after a big release, so I'm not too worried, BUT I should get going on Part 2 for realsies this month, and make the broad 'Summer 2023' release date I've set for myself.

What's in the cards for Chapter 2 | Part 2? Part 2 will feature one scene of My and Argento-shenanigans, providing some more insight into their business endeavors. And for the second scene Angel and Jan will be back for a short segment where Angel gets a new fit and some worldbuilding stuff will be exposition'ed with utmost subtlety.
I'm estimating Part 2 will end up being around 16 pages! And after that it's on to Part 3 - the main sequence being a juicy dialogue scene featuring Donna Cornello, some VIP worldbuilding, and a new character.
I'm hoping to share some page previews next month!

My is an ARCO character from the first hour, and, I don't have favorites, BUT...
She has shown up in all Chapters so far (including the illustrous Chapter 0), and can be described as mischievous, messy, inquisitive and stubborn.
My's name is borrowed from the Moomins' Little My, with whom she, uncoincidentally, happens to share some core character traits.
